ART AT GERBER'S 1933 TAVERN

Andrea Vedder is an expressionist painter based

in Dolgeville, New York, working primarily in oil

on canvas. Her work blends realism with

dreamlike symbolism, using contrast and color

to explore themes of loss, growth, and personal

transformation. Her ongoing series, Still Life

Crisis, reimagines traditional floral still lifes as

emotional narratives rooted in lived experience

and subconscious reflection.

Painting for over 15 years, Andrea continues to expand her practice into acrylic and

ceramics. She is an instructor at 4 Elements Studio in Utica, NY, serves as

Chairperson of the Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts, and is the Lead Liaison of the

Arts Committee at 4 Elements Studio. Deeply committed to community

engagement, she actively teaches, volunteers, and exhibits throughout the region.
